Keto Chocolate Fat Bomb Using Canna Oil

Using canna oil, it’s really easy to make lots of different types of keto-friendly dishes and desserts as well as cookies and fat bombs. Because I believe in keeping recipes as simple as possible, and because when you’ve got the munchies, you need a treat that fast, and tastes more divine than all the oreos in the world… Ta-da! Meet the Keto Chocolate Fat Bomb. Pro-tip: don’t make these too strong, ’cause you won’t be able to stop eating them and this is a fat bomb with a kick back!

Ingredients:

  • 100g 85% dark chocolate
  • 1/2 tsp. of sea salt
  • 2 drops of vanilla
  • 2 tbsp. of Coconut Canna Oil
  • 120g of crush roasted walnuts
  • 1/4 cup of raisins (optional)
  • 1/4 cup of dried cranberries (optional)

Method:

Melt the chocolate, vanilla and oil on a low heat, preferably in a double-boiler. When fully melted, add the nuts and dried fruit, and mix together. Spoon into silicon cups, and freeze for 15 minutes. Done. Can store in the freezer. Don’t expect them to last long.

A note on dark chocolate: Make sure the brand you buy is keto-friendly. To do that, read the macros on the back and choose a brand with a higher fat than carbohydrate content. I use Lindt, which has 46g of fat and 19g of carbs in 100g, making it keto-friendly.

Of all the infusions, Canna Oil is the easiest to make, only taking one hour, on a low heat to infuse the oil with cannabis herb. I use coconut oil, again because it’s keto-friendly and can store for a long time.

Though walnuts are a keto-friendly nut, they’re also super high in fat, which is what makes this recipe a serious fat bomb. 120 grams of walnuts is 780 calories and has 78 grams of fat, so just bear that in mind before wolfing down three of these bad boys, which trust me, is easy to do.

One of the most appealing things about this recipe is that the taste of both the chocolate and roasted walnuts is so powerful, it overwhelms the canna oil, meaning these fat bombs don’t have the herby taste that most edibles are known for. These are a great mid-morning snack to rev you up for a busy day, or a luxurious dessert on a special occasion.
